The purpose of this blog is to capture some of the high lights and low lights of just normal day to day life. Our life is loud, busy, and fast, but we love it!

Trash and Treasure

A couple weeks ago David and I were greatly saddened by the hole that appeared in our FAVORITE fitted sheet. Seriously, softest sheets-Egyptian cotton....so soft and inviting! Well, I decided to try to make use of the "fabric" and make pillows. I only had enough stuffing in the house for one. I can't wait to put the girls to bed tonight and lay down to watch some tv on the couch!

Girl Time while Daddy is Away

Last week while David was in Fairbanks, Alaska the girls and I had a nail party during one of our quiet times. It was great! I painted toes and fingernails. I love doing girlie things like this with them.

Stuffed Animal Birthday Party

January 7th the girls went to Madeline McRae's birthday party-which was a stuffed animal theme. The girls were asked to bring their favorite stuffed animal, which they made 2 crafts for. Cute idea!

I loved that they wanted to dress up to go to the party. These days kids go to birthday parties in "play" clothes. I remember always dressing nice and having my hair pretty. I am glad that I have girls who like doing the same.

Goodnight Moon

All of our girls have had Good Night Moon by Margaret Wise Brown as the first book read to them.  I love that.  I hope they do too.  Emma certainly does. At seven months old Sweet Emma Lynne sits on my lap in her Pj's and sleep sack and watches each page and listens to each word I read.  Precious.  She does not grab the book, but sits so attentively.  Adorable.

Someone to kiss at midnight

Another New Year's Eve has come and gone. Is it really the year 2012? It has been a long time since I have stayed up to ring in the new year, but this time I made it...and then some! No party. Nothing special event. Me and my gorgeous, amazing husband kissing on the couch when the ball dropped in NYC.

New Year's Eve has special meaning to us. December 31, 1997 David and I spent the day in NYC-my personal tour guide - and defined our relationship and commitment to one another in Times Square at midnight. I stood on his feet to keep off the freezing ground. We were stuck to each other because the crowd was large. There were fireworks....not just in the sky behind us! Love. True Love.

Fourteen New Year's Eves, 10 years of marriage, and 4 daughters later there are still fireworks...no seriously, we heard fireworks going off last night as we rang in the year together. Beautiful. Wonderful. Love.

We are starting another year together. "You and me babe." We refuse to let anyone come between us...including each other! No life event. No issue with the girls. Nothing. I love this Man. I love starting each year with the same kiss.....Love. True Love.
